Fourth of July

After returning from the Dells Monday morning, we unpacked the car and then repacked a small bag and were back out the door to the annual Blooming Prairie parade. We missed it last year because we were in Door County with my dad and Chris. The parade route was a little different this year which gave us a very shady spot to sit. It was perfect! The parade was entertaining as usual and we enjoyed spending time with Matt's family and extended family.

After the parade we went back to Stacey's house for swimming and a grill out. Kelsey did not want to swim, but she jumped on the trampoline and played in the play set instead. Megan was her normal easy-going self and lived the life by being passed around and played with.

In the evening, we went to see the fireworks display in town. They put on a really good show! Kelsey was really cute about it this year because as soon as they started shooting off she couldn't sit down and was "ohhhh"ing and "ahhhh"ing every one. She also had this light globe she brought along and liked to use during the show as well.

When we got home we all fell asleep quickly. After our time away for the weekend and the hub-bub of the day with July 4th, it felt good to lay down and rest. It was a great ending to our crazy few days.
