Unconditional Love
Yesterday would have been my parent's 35th wedding anniversary. Growing up, I was so lucky to have two loving parents who truly showed me the meaning of what a good marriage should be like. When I think of my parent's marriage, I remember them always putting their children first. They were so good to us and gave us everything they could. More important than any material possession, they gave us unconditional love. My mom and dad did everything together. They were truly a team and supported each other. When my mom was sick, my dad was her rock and held her hand every step of the way. Even though my mom is no longer with us, she has left me with an image of a wonderful marriage that I can carry with me. Thank you mom and dad for setting such a great example for me.

I have to agree with Kristin--Mom and Dad loved each other very much, ran a business together-shared struggles and triumphs together...that's it--they did it together. They were a team. and their greatest asset (as we were told from a very young age) were their children---the greatest compliment you can give a parent is to tell them what great kids they have---what you do shows in your kids---and my parents are great, giving, contributable members of society. Even though she is gone--what she taught us at a young age rings clear to me today...unconditional love. No matter what--oldest to youngest---they loved us, for everything we were to become and are today. Im blessed to have such wonderful parents who have been there for me and continue that love even today. Well put Kristin---we are so very lucky to have that in our life. The grandkids are lucky to have such great grandparents both in heaven and on earth.
