Ring Test

This past weekend, my aunt and uncle from Waukesha, Wisconsin came to Owatonna to visit us. While they were here, I had her perform the ring test. The ring test is a tradition on my dad's side of the family and is believed to predict the sex of the baby. However, it must be performed by one of my dad's sisters to be "accurate." To do the test, my aunt took a piece of my hair and hung Matt's wedding ring from it. Then, she placed the hair with the ring over my belly. If the ring makes a circular motion, it is a girl. If it rocks side to side, it is a boy. Both times my aunt tried it, it showed a girl. So, we'll have to wait 6 more weeks to find out if she was right!
We had a doctor appt. this morning and everything is looking great. The doctor believes the baby is about 4 pounds at this point. We were able to hear the heartbeat, which is always great. As the summer flies by, it is amazing to think that the little bambino will be here before we know it.
I will try to have pictures on here by the end of the week. We have been continuing to work on our house, and the last thing to get done is to get the computer with all the stored pictures on it up on and running. Once that is done, I can show you my big belly, pictures of the new and improved house, our recent baby showers, and summer fun photos. Watch for those coming soon!
